This week I was rejoined by my good friend Dan Rubin to go off on a little excursion around the south of England. The concept was to try and have fun and not over complicate things, more of the simple mans landscape photography as opposed to stacking filters and camping out for days for one shot.
The trip was actually my first time ever shooting large format, courtesy of Linhof Studio which was a blast.
Since it was my first time shooting large format we did encounter a few problems with some ill loaded sheets causing some light leaks, but that only happened on two frames over the 20 I managed to shoot whilst in possession of the camera.
We also got to shoot a bunch of different formats, mainly being the Mamiya 7 and Xpan, which allowed us to give a good comparison on whether it’s worth bringing along the extra weight of a large format camera.
